M2 high speed steel. The composition of m2 gives a good combination of toughness and hardness. High speed steel hss or hs is a subset of tool steels commonly used as cutting tool material. Aisi o2 steel is the better type compare with the o1 tool steel.

The lowest alloy grades m50 and m52 high speed steels are properly known as intermediate high speed steels because of their lower alloy contents.
